I majored in culinary arts in college, and was diagnosed with asthma during my freshman year. After a successful career as a chef and restaurateur, I decided to make a career change and enter into the world of non-profits. My personal experience with having severe, persistent asthma that was poorly controlled for several years led me into the asthma field. Now I am certified asthma educator (AE-C) and specialize in developing curricula and teaching clinicians, patients and caregivers about asthma self-management. My current passion is combining my love for cooking and food with helping people with asthma by creating asthma-friendly recipes. If I’m not in my kitchen I’m hiking with my dog or knitting with a great cup of coffee.
