Fragrances

I've always had hyper allergic skin and fragrance sensitivities. I agree that chemicals affect me more than natural fragrances, with a few exceptions. Gardenia, roses, lavender and forsythia. One natural fragrance that puts me right down is patchouli. It absolutely shuts off the air. I have no idea how I survived Ashland in the more "hippy" years. That is one instance where I have to have my rescue inhaler hooked to the outside of my purse, or I won't be able to get to it in time. I think it's a very subjective circumstance. There are people who obviously actually enjoy the smell of patchouli, or they wouldn't wear it. I do wish, with especially strong oils, that people would realize it only takes a drop.

  1. Hi there, thanks for sharing your situation with the community! So many of us experience difficulty with different scents and fragrances as well.
