Until I read this story I did not realize that there was such a thing as an asthma itch. As I think back to dealing with my asthma, I realize that I have experienced the asthma itch on my neck more times than I can count. It makes sense. So, I thank you for the education. I usually thought I had come in contact with a chemical my body doesn't like, and it doesn't like most. So it makes sense. I probably did come in contact with something and it was the predecessor of the asthma attack that was coming. Didn't always happen but it has happened enough.
Right now I have a chronic itch on my right shoulder blade. I can't figure it out and I can't reach it so it's just hanging out there. My lungs are doing well, with no sign of attack, so back to the research for a chemical intruder.
It's a tough call. I have realized that the only lotions I can use are baby lotions such as Cetaphil baby lotion or Dove baby lotion, both unscented of course. The same reactions can come from soaps. The chemical hits my skin and the fragrance hits my lungs and sends me into a full-blown attack.
Again, thanks for the info.
