Triggers during the Christmas holidays
I have extreme allergies and asthma to more plants, some animals, insects and some medications than I can describe here. One holiday plant that is always everywhere I go is Poinsettias, even into grocery stores at the front entrance or a restaurant. I will immediately start sneezing and getting stuffy, then coughing from this beautiful plant. I have to ask my friends, before visiting them of they have this plant in their home. If they do I have to excuse myself from any visits. Close friends know that a day before I may visit to put their plant into another closed room, but even then I am reluctant to have them go out of their way for just me.
Hi, Donna! Thanks for sharing this. How frustrating to be allergic to poinsettias, especially at this time of year when they are all over the place. How are your friends about accommodating your allergy? Are most of them understanding, or do you have trouble getting through to them? Just curious.
