"I have been a severe asthmatic for over 50 years. It has been a challenge but I think I've lived an almost normal life (well except the childhood treatments which we won't go into right now!). At times I feel discouraged that we haven't made more progress with this disease, but I'm also thankful for the wins. Despite a lifelong dependency on steroids and antibiotics I've led a pretty normal life. I am now on a biological treatment which I'm hopeful about. It's a once a month injection that wreaks havoc with this old bod but I am less reliant on prednisone so I guess that's a win. At 61 really happy to be here! Looking forward to sharing other stories of triumph😀"
