"Whi cannot see what I'm typing. Why?at my asthma attacks feel like: I feel like I'm incinerating from the very top of my chest. If it's humid, when going outside, I immediately feel as thoughi have walked into an oven and it sucks the air out of my lungs. I immediately start wheezing and Get to my nebulizer as quickly as I can w/out panicking and cough up whatever is blocking my airway. Maybe 30 seconds. I don't have a pulmonologist, but I'm seeking for one as of today. After seeing doc today about acid reflux and hostel hernia and breathing issues that come w that, I have realized I need to have pulmonary and gastro working on issues that seem to react to one anothrr. ULtimatelt, the same outcome, can't catch my brath, heart racing and trying to remain calm anreathing throhttps://docs.google.com/forms/di can't see what I'm typing here. Ok, so sorry, getting used to things. I couldn't see what I was typing. I can now.
So, let me begin again. When it's humid, I feel like I have walked into an oven on 490°. It sucks the air right out of my lungs. I get to my room as quickly as I can bc, by this time my heart is racing bc I can't get air. I breath through my nose, hold and blow out purses lips slowly to get my heart to calm down. Still racing, I use my nebulizer for about 30 seconds and cough up what is blocking my airway. While experiencing this, it feels like I'm only breathing from the top 3rd of my lungs.
Having acid reflux and hostel hernia gives me similar feelings and attacks, using the same method to clear my airway.
I can tell if it's good or humidity although symptoms are very simular. With reflux the stomach is extended and I have to standstill or lay flat to be able to breathe.
I've realized recently that this is a double-edged sword. Two separate structures: respiratory and digestion, all starting w the mouth. The reflux collided w the bronchial tubes as well as he asthma.
I have seen a pulmonologist before but I made the call today. I've been on the same inhaler for 15 yrs. 2 puffs in a.m. and 2 puffs p.m. This summer has been extremely humid and I'm realizing 1 inhaler is insufficient. I also work out 3 times a week and have never used a rescue inhaler. Good to know. I have gotten winded and had to sit. Magneto could get through the wholefoods if I had an inhaler before exercising, so reading that tonight was key. I'm feeling likes need to be in both ends of tgecsoectrum, great the reflux and the asthma.
I don't fully understand the reflux. I eat very healthy, pH levels are good and I asked stomach doc today where is the acid coming from? The stomach. But what puts it there. Answer: some ppl have more acid than others. Is it nerves, meds, I know it's not food. I spoke w him about the hiatel hernia, telling him that I just read that coughing a lot can create the hernia. Off course after eating even a small meal, the diaphragm feels like it's pushing up into my lungs and I can't breathe. I clear my airways and iftentimes, little particles of food will comev up.
Sorry about being so verbose, but I'm excited about reading your comments and relating to them, as well as seeing that it's a must to check into the asthma side of things which may help both problems. I
Thanks for allowing me to share.

"Hi, in New to this site. I would like to be included in the concert about what an asthma attack feels like."
Hi again, JDH71, and thanks for this post. I'm not sure which concert you are referring to. Are you able to clarify this? Leon (site moderator)
Typos, meant conversation, not concert.
