  1. "I have severe allergic asthma and have had four respiratory arrests in my lifetime. I have been suffering neurological symptoms for a long time but am not getting answers or support from my doctors. I suspect there may have been brain or CNS damage caused by previous oxygen deprivation but can not prove it or get medical support. Is neurological damage/symptoms common in sever asthma? "

    1. Hi again, @robbym, and thanks for your post and question. Although we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), your concern certainly warrants a reply.

In the most general of terms, the asthma condition is not usually associated with causes of neurological damage or symptoms. However, in cases where the asthmatic has had severe oxygen deprivation for an extended period of time, that might be a different circumstance altogether.

You have shared that you experienced four respiratory arrests in your lifetime. You may consider looking into these scenarios to determine what may be responsible for the neurological deficits you have shared here with the community. You may want to discuss this further and in more detail with the physicians who provided the care at the time.

      What do you think?
