We have a tradition (me and several colleagues) to join a local COPD awareness station that offers free spirometry tests to smokers and/or people with respiratory symptoms, to raise awareness and get a proper diagnosis on time. Many people walk around for years not knowing this disease even exists, and get their diagnosis at an advanced point. "
