Asthma vs PE

I've been diagnosed with asthma since I was 16 and was told it was stress related as I had suffered the loss of my mother. For many years, I didn't have any problems really. When COVID reared its ugly head I became very short of breath and was hospitalized at least four times a year (of course, COVID did not have a name then).

Asthma and Pulmonary Embolism

While working my 12-hour shift at a hospital I felt as if I was about to pass out and could not catch my breath. Thankfully, one of my colleagues wheeled me to ER and gave a stat CTA. It was discovered I had multiple pulmonary embolisms (PE) on both lungs.

I'm very thankful that the ER doctor was a Godsend. Sometimes it's not just asthma; it also can be heart-related.
