Life with Asthma

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 2 years old following an asthma attack after a hernia repair. I've dealt with this over the years and had it get worse than be a little better to the point of almost being hospitalized at 19 for my asthma being out of control. Eight years later and I'm on a long-term controller that works great! We even learned then that my constant heartburn and stomach ulcers were part of having asthma and not something completely unrelated. But my life changed forever when I was 13 years old. My oldest brother had been diagnosed when he was 9 years old with asthma. Unfortunately, at 23 my oldest brother passed away from asthma complications. Something my family and I didn't even know was possible, especially in a healthy young adult.
