My life now

I have had asthma my whole life. Lived my whole life and no one understood it.
As I aged it got worse taking off from work up to a year at a time. It was making my heart weak. Then I would go back to work for a while. This time I’m stuck on disability living on oxygen 24/7. I’m 52 and had to give up my career and taking care of my kids. It’s ruined my life.

Hi nurselpn84 and thanks for your post. I know you’ve been communicating here with us for some time now. I’m sorry to hear that asthma has ‘ruined’ your life. Have you been under the care of a physician for this condition? Do you feel you’re getting the proper care? As a health care professional (it appears from your screen name that you are an LPN), do you have an opinion on your condition and treatment? Please let us hear back from you. Leon (site moderator)
