Mucus

Hello!
I have had asthma for many years and relatively new rhinitis (about 4 years). Since my rhinitis started I also noticed mucus, especially during winter (I'm sensitive to cold, dry weather).
I take my medications for both conditions, drink a lot (including warm drinks), keep warm and stay away from secondhand smoke. Warm showers are also great, however they're not a practical solution for most of the day...
All of these help me but I still have it.

Any other recommendations? What helps you?

  1. My doctor ordered a Nebulizer with Albuterol twice a day as needed. I found that it helps with getting rid of the mucus plug.

    1. Hi Kitoux, and thanks for joining in this forum about asthma and mucus. We appreciate you sharing the success you're having using a nebulizer treatment (with albuterol), twice a day, with the community.

So glad to hear this helps you to work on a mucus plug.

      We appreciate your feedback.

      All the best,
      Leon (site moderator asthma.net)
