airsupra

My daughter was told to take AirSupra once daily which she has done for 2 weeks; we just realized it's a rescue inhaler. Is she okay?
There were times when she didn't need it but took it anyway as that is what she was told.

  1. Great question As you note, AirSurpa is a rescue inhaler, in that it contains albuterol. But it also contains an inhaled steroids. The Albuterol opens the airways. And the inhaled steroids helps reduce airway inflammation. Using both together can help keep airways open long-term. So, in my opinion. your daughter is okay using this medicine once daily. Was your daughter also given instructions to use it as needed when she is short of breath? As that is the main indication for this inhaler? John. community moderator.

    1. Thank you so much for the reply that alleviate some concerns and yes she has been told that about the Albuterol
