Best maintenance inhaler?

Hello everyone 🙂 I have had allergy induced asthma for 5 yrs now. I don't think that my asthma is getting better... I definitely have to use my steroid inhaler everyday. I've been on advair for some time and sometimes I don't feel like it works that well anymore. Anyone with the same experience with advair and you switched to something else that worked better? Thank you 😀)

  1. Hi Virginia, I'm sorry that you are feeling as though your asthma is not getting better. Do you think that your asthma has ever been well controlled or is this a newer issue? Have you had the opportunity to check in with your doctor and let them know how you are feeling? Maybe there are other alternatives to the medications you are on that may work better for you? Best of luck! -Lauren (team member)

    1. Hi. I see my colleague Lauren has provided you with a response above. I also have something to contribute here. Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with allergies and asthma. Those are conditions that I too have been dealing with, although in my case my entire life. I was on Advair for many years, and it did seem to help me control my asthma. Although, I have recently been Trialing Trelegy and it seems (so far) to be working even better. I'm not saying this same medicine will work for you. Although it's important nothing that there are many asthma controller inhalers in today's market. Plus there are also other non-inhaler medicines that your doctor may recommend. This may be a topic to discuss with your doctor, who may have ideas for other medicines/treatments that you can try. What do you think? John. community moderator.
