Hey, anyone here with asthma also have been diagnosed with bronchiectasis?..just want some info on how it’s affected you and what sort of deterioration in your condition with living day to day?

Hello - this is a great question to post. I certainly hope those with experience show up and offer their stories. I haven't had bronchiectasis so I can only imagine the strain, drain, and pain it has on daily life, especially for those trying in addition to managing asthma and other chronic breathing conditions.
I did want to stop by and offer up a link or 2 for articles that may have some information you find helpful. You may find respite in reading these experiences.
I do hope others in the community show up for you here. I will circle around and follow along as others reply. Thoughtfully, Rebecca (team member)

I have both. Just had my 1st major flare: tons of mucus and uncontrollable coughing at times. It’s gotten better but not fast enough to stop the coughing ( which damages our lungs further) People think I’m contagious but I’m not. No infection in the lungs according to X-ray. Can’t see my regular pulmonologist for a month so I’m opting for an available pulmonologist but via telehealth. Info on this site is helpful for options I can try in the meantime.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your experience related to your first flare. I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better. Have you had a chance to make a telehealth visit? I hope they are able to provide you some further insight. Let us know how you make out. All the best, Lauren (team member)
