Busy but happy!

I can't believe how quickly September has gone! My asthma now is pretty well controlled again, so thankfully for that.
I can now go about my activities without stopping to catch my breath every 30 seconds. This is great but I have to remind myself not to go too fast or do too much. Rest days from work are just that: time to rest, not rush around trying to fit a week's worth of stuff into one day!
After the last severe flare up, I think I've learnt a lot about myself -
how to cope when an asthma attack threatens; to take time out and not feel guilty; to put myself first; to prioritise - it doesn't matter if I can't do everything;
I no longer rush around trying to please everyone. I'm kinder to myself.
I've continued with my sea swimming, a tad cooler now. The sea is quite warm but getting out into a cold and windy day isn't much fun! I'm thankful that I can pick up a pace back to the warmth of my campervan where hot chocolate awaits!

  1. September has gone by in a blink of an eye, . I was hoping it could stay a little longer, but my end-of-summer has been so very busy that it was hard for me to sit back and enjoy every bit of it. Now gone, Fall is kicking in and I will try to enjoy this season (and the next) a little more. Traveling had me all over the place and my mind scattered. Time to breathe and relax.

    So very glad that your asthma has settled a bit, especially since fall is just coming about. Not sure about the exact seasons in the UK but I'm sure it's getting cooler, seasons are changing. Triggers lessening a bit? Have you begun a new treatment regimen to assist your breathing better? Or just changing your daily routine, taking on fresher air doing the trick? Do tell.

    I tend to overdo things on days when I feel better and it backfires each and every time. I am glad that you no longer rush around to please everyone else. Sounds like you take on "self-care" much more than in the past. Being kinder to yourself comes with greater well-being and health. Happy for you.

    Cooler days, a refreshing cool swim, waking the neurotransmitters, regulating mood, improving one's breathing - just so many overall benefits of taking a cool dip and enjoying cooler days. Wishing you all the health in the world and more. Thanks for sharing your day with us. Really impressed by your self-love. It has made me stop and think a bit about what I can do better or more (or less) to provide myself with time, space, and energy for me. Rebecca (comm advc)

    1. Hi again, Seaspirit, and thanks for sharing your introspective self analysis with the community. It's very impressive and, from what you've said, appears to be working quite well! I commend you wholeheartedly for taking this very thoughtful approach for yourself!
      From my own perspective, once someone takes care of themselves and their needs, they can then redirect efforts towards helping others!

      Keep up the good work!
