Clinging on to Life

About 5 years ago, I had not been well with my Asthma. I suffer from brittle asthma. I went to the doctor for a check-up. After being in the doctor's room for a few minutes I suffered a severe asthma attack which led to having a heart attack. Then I began fighting for every inch of my life. All the doctors and the asthma nurses started the fight of bringing me back to life. I slowly recovered in the hospital.
Thanks to the doctors and asthma nurses, l am walking around now. It was the most terrible experience I have had to go through in all my life.

  1. Wow, Beryl, that sounds so scary! How lucky you were to be at the doctor's office at the time of that terrible attack. I know you said you're up and walking 5 years later -- how are you doing otherwise? Is your asthma well-managed! We're certainly glad to have you here with us. -Melissa, asthma.net team

      1. it sounds like you have a great outlook and plan for managing your lung health! I firmly believe that having a good attitude makes a big difference as well. In case you weren't aware, we also have a website like this one for people with COPD. Some of the staff here also work over there, so if you want to visit us there will be some familiar faces. The address is www.copd.net. Keep taking good care of yourself, one day at a time. -Melissa, asthma.net team
