Has anyone used smart products to monitor asthma?

I recently developed asthma and I am very anxious. Has anyone used any smart products to monitor their asthma? Any recommendations?

  1. Hi there and welcome to the community! I hope you find this community to be a place you can come to learn and bounce ideas off others with asthma. One of the most valuable tools that someone can use to monitor their asthma is a peak flow meter. I'm linking an article that discusses the use of peak flow meter. 1. I second Lauren's good advice to use a peak flow meter. That can give you a heads up that you need to take your medication or be more cautious. Additionally, you can always check a weather app to monitor humidity, temperature, and especially air quality.

I'm sorry that you're feeling anxious. That's pretty normal when you're facing a new diagnosis and still learning how it affects you. Are you happy with your doctor so far? Have you come up with an asthma action plan together? Having a plan ensures that you know what to do when you are having symptoms and don't have to think about it in the moment. Here's an article about that if you're unfamiliar:
