Dupixent

I’m so surprised many people on here don’t know about Dupixent. I was soooo sick with my asthma since I was 36. I am now 69. Twice in those years I actually had to be brought back to life, no exaggeration. I had to be intubated sooo many times. I spent so much time in the ICU. I always just knew I would not grow old.
One day I went to my respiratory doctor, Dr. Talib. He gave me my first shot and showed me how to give them to myself. I take them every two weeks now. My insurance Aetna covers these shots. It’s been almost 3 years with no hospitalizations. I can now be outside, even with my allergens.

  1. Hi again, jdopheid, and thanks for sharing the success you're having using Dupixent. It's so gratifying when one's medications work as well as they do in your case. Keep up the good work!

    1. Hi, I had been taking Fasenra since 2020, but it seemed to be no longer working, so my doctor began the arduous task of switching me to Dupixent back in May. I have finally been approved and received and took my first dose on Tuesday (8/26/2025) of this week. I wanted to touch back to see if it was still working for you. I am hopeful that it will help make my symptoms better.

      1. Hi Vicky! Not sure if the original poster will see this because it was several years ago, but everyone is different as far as how they respond to medications. I couldn't find a specific discussion here of how people have responded to it, but some of our writers have taken it and were doing well at the time they wrote their articles. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. -Melissa, team member
