Hard to breathe

I am finding it extremely hard to cope with the hot weather and Hayfever. I have been given stronger inhalers and have nasal spray and allergy tablets. I feel some times my airways are closing up. Any advice would be appreciated. I have steroid tablets put I am not taking them at the moment, in case it's too much. Thanks Beryl ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. I'm sorry to hear that you're finding it challenging to cope with hot weather and hay fever while managing your asthma. As you know both hot weather and hay fever can be triggers for asthma symptoms. It sounds like the treatment plan you are may help, but unfortunately not enough. Have you spoken with your treating physician to possibly assist you in better asthma control as summer and allergies roll in? It can be so difficult to manage but here are a few suggestions:

*Monitor allergens and remain indoors during peak pollen times.
*Take your medication as prescribed to ensure optimal results.
*Use of a mask or scarf while outdoors may help reduce inhaled allergens, smoke, and irritants.
*Stay hydrated and cool indoors during peak heat hours while effectively managing indoor allergens.

    1. Thank you for your advice
I only go out if l really need to
And always have a shower when l come home
I have brought a hepa air purifier
      It was only 30 pounds
But it works brilliantly and helps me breathe a bit better
I must say that l am hoping for the hot weather to cool down very soon
I Just do not cope well in this heat
      Wishing all you hayfever suffering
      Best wishes Beryl

    2. Hi CM2efd48 (Beryl), and thanks for staying engaged with this conversation. The way you are managing this at home is commendable - it certainly sounds like you are doing everything you can to maintain a good level of control over the heat, hot weather, and hayfever.
The air purifier must make a significant difference, as does the showering and limiting your exposure to the outside.
Do you find that air conditioning is of benefit for you at home?
      All the best,

  2. Hi Leon
I definitely know with out the air purifier
I would not of been able to cope as well
    As .l am doing
It is the first year that l have not been
Admitted into hospital with my asthma ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

    1. Hi again, Beryl, and thanks for your reply and further explanation - we appreciate it. Based on what you've shared with us here, you truly are doing better. Than is a significant metric - to have been able to manage the disease (asthma), and without the necessity of a hospitalization.
      Keep up the good work!
