Meds

Hi everyone! Hope you are feeling well and not having too many attacks.
Has anybody tried that new medicine, its a shot once a month i think to limit prednisone use? My wife saw a commerical and i asked my pulmonologist about it. Just waiting for an answer.
Thanks and take care!

  1. Hi Rick, and thanks for your post and question - it's a good one!
I am hopeful others in the community will see your inquiry and respond by sharing their own anecdotal experiences.
In order to avoid confusion and, to encourage responses, are you able to identify the injection to which you are referring? That might make it a little easier for community members who want to respond.
    What do you think?

    1. I haven't tried that new medicine you mentioned, but it sounds interesting.

      1. I haven't tried that new medicine you mentioned, but it sounds interesting. I'm currently on prednisone and I know how tough it can be to manage its side effects. I hope your pulmonologist gets back to you soon with more information. In the meantime, have you tried any other medications or treatments for your condition? It's always good to explore different options and see what works best for you. By the way, have you heard about the cialis coupon for 2023? It might be useful for anyone taking that medication. It can help to save a lot of money on drugs. Best of luck to you! https://www.charityrx.com/coupon/cialis

        1. Hi ! Thanks for the question relating to new medications. As my colleague, , stated above, you may want to list the name of the medication as there are several injectable medications for the different types of asthma. Here is a link to some of them. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/17711-biologic-therapy-for-severe-asthma#:~:text=New%20injectable%20asthma%20medications%20(omalizumab,and%20about%20possible%20side%20effects. Also there is Tezspire which is new as well for severe asthma. https://www.tezspire.com/about-tezspire.html#:~:text=APPROVED%20USE-,TEZSPIRE%20is%20a%20prescription%20medicine%20used%20with%20other%20asthma%20medicines,and%20can%20improve%20your%20breathing. Which medication are you interested in learning about? Hoping this is helpful. Best of wellness always. Rebecca (Asthma.net moderator)
