I can totally relate to the above story. As my condition worsened over the years my nose became more sensitive to my allergies. I can even detect the kind of detergent people have washed their clothes in. It is unbelievable to people because I can smell things that no one else is bothered by. I also have to leave the area due to fragrances, or cooking smells, certain flowers, cats, and any chemicals. I have rid my house of the gas furnace, cooking with gas, water heater, and all carpeting. It is an expensive nose! I now have COPD. The family finally understands.
