It's possible that this may subside when you are lying down. Are you also short of breath when you hear this wheezing? Also, it really should not matter whether a doctor hears wheezing or not. A good doctor should easily be able to treat asthma regardless of what symptoms you are experiencing in the office. Does your doctor not believe you when you say you have this wheeze?
