Hi. Welcome to our community. Very good question. We learned about surfactant in respiratory therapy school. I am aware of a type of surfactant inside your lungs that reduces surface tension so each breath comes in easy. However, based on your question I did some research, and learned that surfactants are also, as you say, used in Whey protein powder. And their purpose is to reduce surfact tension so the powder mixes well. However, this type of surfactant is different from the type produced by your body. Although, perhaps my research is wrong. Is there something you read or watched that showed that a "Whey Protein Powder SP A -- Surfactant" might help with breathing? Wishing you all the best. John. community moderator.
