Why am I having to breathe in deeply, have back ache & no wheezing yet needed to use my inhaler?

My Asthma warning signs have changed

  1. Hi lucydiane - thank you for your post. While we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), your comment certainly deserves a reply. For some folks, the condition can change as time goes by. That is why it is important for patients to be attuned to (what may be), subtle changes to their own particular warning signs and even symptoms.
Do you think this may be what is happening in your case?
Even though you are not wheezing, do you feel better when you use the metered dose inhaler?
Have you had an opportunity to discuss your concerns with your physician?
If there is anything we can do to assist you, please let me or any other moderator / team member know.
    Wishing you well,
    Leon (site moderator asthma.net)
