Getting Away to Heal My Body

I really do not know what is going on with my body right now. I am not in a good way and I think it is because I have picked up a few bugs recently. When this happens my immune system always struggles to fight off any toxic invader... and I become sick.
It is so frustrating because I believe I do everything in my power to live a good healthy life. I eat all the right foods (90% of the time). I try and exercise, but not as much as I would like to. One can do all these things in life, however, if one’s immune system is compromised due to having asthma and atopic dermatitis, then it does not matter.
I always become sick. You would think that living well would at least reduce the severity of my symptoms but, honestly right now I am thinking of using topical steroids. Obviously, this would be the last resort of action and I am fighting it all the way.
What are my symptoms?
First off, I think because I work in close proximity with others I am quite susceptible to picking up bugs that go around. A couple of weeks ago I started to feel shivery and was getting headaches.
Soon after, my breathing became labored and my nose was extremely stuffy. When this happens I know I need to act fast. My sleep has been severely impacted by this. When this happens, it tends to mean that my working day suffers, my state of mind is affected and I experience brain fog, memory issues, and feelings of being totally disorganized.
Being proactive is always a good thing, but nothing I did was working. Pretty soon my asthma got bad. Also, my body developed sores all over and my eczema was so bad. It still is. It’s times like this when I fantasize about not waking up. But life has to go on.
Getting away to a different climate with asthma
A few friends of mine told me they were flying out to Fuerteventura in October. I have a real fear of flying but with my current state I was talked into tagging along. In the past, when I have gotten away to warmer climates, where the water is soft and the air is clean, my health is always impacted in a really positive way - including my asthma.
To not take this opportunity would be utterly stupid. What with the colder season on its way this would be the perfect tonic to getting my body clean and ready to take on the winter months. It is a real shame that to do this is so expensive but it does need to be done.
If there are any other asthma warriors out there who are going through a bad time this article is for you. We all know how debilitating this condition is and sometimes it's a really nice thing to be able to share with others who know exactly what we are going through.
