"I have been trying to stay positive with my asthma but it's been tough. I woke up at 1:30 am struggling to breathe and feeling pretty tight. I took my inhaler and it helped to get me breathing well enough for me to get back to sleep but it feels like things have lingered a bit as I am wheezing in the office at work. I do take Breyna as a controller medication but I am wondering if it's working as well as I need it to. I am taking it easy and making sure to keep track of how I am feeling but I am concerned that if I continue to feel wheezy and tight that I might need to go in to the doctors and reevaluate what to take to help get my asthma under control. I am trying to stay positive but it can be tough when it feels like I run into issues every few weeks. "

  1. Hi there, thanks for sharing how you are feeling...I'm sorry to hear that you are going through a rough patch. In addition to your Breyna inhaler, do you have a rescue inhaler? How are you making out today? Might be a good idea to check in with your doctor if you are still feeling wheezy. Let us know how you make out. -Lauren (Team member)

  2. Hi Lauren. I do have a rescue inhaler. Normally when I am doing well I only need to take it before exercising and maybe once every couple of months for a flare but when I am having a rougher time I would need my rescue inhaler 2 to 3 times per week. I'm not feeling great today but i'm also not feeling too bad. Just a little bit wheezy. It's just something that I am keeping an eye on because if it lingers than I will probably need to check with my doctor.

  3. Thanks for following up and providing further information. I'm glad that you are on top of your breathing. Take care and let us know how you make out. -Lauren (Team member)
