Lifetime Asthma

How long have I had asthma isn't the right question. The question should be when was I told what asthma is. When I was diagnosed with asthma, I was led to believe it that if I take the meds they gave me, that it would go away. Some doctors are just too busy to explain things to their patients. I was first diagnosed in 1978 and it was years later that I finally had a really bad asthma attack and got the treatment that I needed.

I have allergy, exercise, and stress-induced asthma. I can't handle both hot and very cold air. I have to do my shopping and I do wear a mask, but after a few minutes, I feel like I am being suffocated. I don't know what I can do.
