A Walk Through My Asthma Meds

I've created a short video about my daily asthma meds. I talk Ventolin, Seretide and Montelukast. I describe the difference between the inhalers, such as: which is curative and which is preventative? I also talk about my enthusiasm for what I consider to be the wonder drug, Montelukast.

Peter, good to see you! It's always a treat to see a video post here on <a href='https://asthma.net' target='_blank'>asthma.net</a> -- they are not as common here as on some of the other sites in the Health Union family. Hi, Peter . . . I sure enjoyed your video and seeing someone who's benefitting from some of the same meds that I do. My preventer med is Symbicort, which looks like the Ventolin inhaler, and my allergy/asthma docs at the U of Michigan recently changed it so that I get half the steroid now as I did with the other one. So far, so good. I use the exact same rescue inhaler as you do for Ventolin, such a blessing when needed, eh? I take Montelukast, too, and think it's awesome that it keeps you out of the hospital. My U of M doc also has me taking OTC Vitamin D3, calcium and Flonase. Hope the rest of your summer is uneventful . . . and fun! Diane
