Air purifier

Am thinking of buying an air purifier to help with my asthma and multiple environmental allergies. Anyone getting help using one?

  1. Hi kaemac, and thanks for your post and question. I am hopeful others in the community will see your inquiry and reply with their own personal experiences.
In the meantime, I thought you might be interested in some of the articles we have published, right here on our asthma.net website, which speak to air purifiers and asthma. For your convenience, here is a link to several of those articles: https://asthma.net/search?s=air%20purifier.
I do hope you find the information is helpful in a practical way.
    Wishing you well,

    1. In response to kaemac,
I was diagnosed with mild asthma this past January (2021) after experiencing shortness of breath for months. Determining the cause (allergy and sensitivity to molds in our "new" old home) took awhile. But that lead way to reactions to other things (mown grass, outdoor smoke, etc.). I am also interested in learning about possible whole home air purifiers. But in the meantime I have experienced relief from mown grass and outdoor smoke by using Austin's HealthMate Air Purifier. It is a bit pricey. I keep it on low in the living room all the time and turn it to high when those triggers are active. As far as the mold issue, I am hoping that the upcoming mold remediation will help to remedy.
