Hi Raine, and thanks for your post here. You've posed an excellent question.
You may be aware we cannot provide medical advice over the internet (for your own safety), but your concern certainly warrants a reply.
Your concern as to whether your 13-year old son should be given the COVID-19 vaccination is a question you may want to pose directly to his physician.
The CDC does recommend its use for children about the age of 12 but, the pediatrician will be able to guide you appropriately for your son's overall health condition.
I thought you might want to look over the CDC guidelines, which you can access here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/recommendations/adolescents.html?s_cid=11583:cdc%20covid%20vaccine%20minors:sem.ga😛:RG:GM:gen😛TN.Grants:FY21
What do you think?
Please do check back and let us know how this all turns out for you.
Wishing you well,
Leon (site moderator asthma.net)
