I have had crackling in my lungs after bronchitis, how common is this?

This has been from exposure to mold (most likely).

  1. Hi Artistgirl and thanks for your post. While we cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety), your concern certainly warrants a reply. Breath sounds in the lung are quite common and run the range from 'clear' to 'wheezing' to 'silence', to 'crackles', all indicative of what is happening within the lung. If you've been diagnosed with bronchitis (as you say), AND 'most likely' have been exposed to mold, it would be prudent to follow up with your physician. Please do check back and let us know how you're doing. All the best, Leon (site moderator)

    1. Thank you, yes, I have been to the doctor quite often in the past 2 weeks. I will be checked for crackles again in 4 weeks. If still there I will get a CAT Scan of my lungs. I had a 3 day course of Prednisone (I can't tolerate more than that. It turns me into a rageful witch to the highest degree). It's frustrating.

      Thank you for your response.
