Inhaled Steroids and Bruising

For the last few years, I’ve been bruising very, very easily. My arms are covered. Doctors have tested me for all kinds of diseases. I started researching all my meds and I find that these inhaled steroids cause this. I’m on three, two puffs twice a day. Ugh.

  1. Hi. Welcome to our asthma community. Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with bruising and that your doctor's have been unable to determine the cause. Surely there are some asthma medicines and inhalers that may cause bruises to develop more easily -- and it's possible some doctors aren't aware of this potential side effect, especially when it comes to inhalers -- as they are inhaled and go directly to your lungs as opposed to your entire system. Perhaps you've seen this already, but we do have an article on this topic. I will post it here if you want to check it out.
