  1. Hi Evanslou and thanks for your post/question. We cannot provide medical advice or diagnostics over the internet (for your own safety). but I thought you might want to review any of these articles about GERD from our asthma.net website: https://asthma.net/?s=GERD. In addition, you may want to discuss your concerns with your prescribing physician. Wishing you well, Leon (site moderator)

    1. My Gerd medication helps mine. My esophageal reflux causes acid to back up and sometimes into my lungs irritating my bronchial tubes especially when I sleep. there is current research to validate that

      1. Hi Lyndab2u and thanks for your post. We do appreciate you sharing your situation with both GERD and asthma. It's always helpful to hear how others are managing their condition. All the best, Leon (site moderator)

    2. Hi! I agree with Lyndab2u. I also take medications for acid reflux. This medication helps keep acid from irritating my already hypersensitive airway from getting angry, which in turn helps keep my asthma under control. In fact, it was the first medication I was prescribed when I was first diagnosed with asthma. It has been a very important part of my regimen.
