Celebrating 5 Years of Community at Asthma.net

Since Health Union (the parent company of Asthma.net) launched this online community, these have been our goals:

  • Foster a supportive environment
  • Connect people with information
  • Spread awareness

It has been 5 years since we officially launched Asthma.net! Each of us has own our unique journey. We are so grateful for those of you who have chosen to share yours on Asthma.net and our Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter!

Patient perspectives

Of course, what makes this community great is all of you! We could never do what we do without our community. You make Asthma.net the supportive place it is. Thank you for sharing your vulnerable moments with us. Your reading, commenting, liking, and sharing have made such an impact.

We have compiled some of your comments over the years into articles that we call Community Views. Check a few of them out here:

Stories and how to share yours

One of our story submissions written by Patti:

"Living with asthma is a challenge. The setbacks, the illnesses and attacks, the disruptions to my attempts at 'staying on track,' and the impacts of dealing with a chronic illness have been overwhelming and frustrating. I continue to live my life, bobbing and weaving, as necessary. I am grateful for this site. I don’t know anyone who has asthma and certainly no one with the combination of complications I have, so it helps to read other stories and the various topics that are presented here at Asthma.net."

This is just 1 story of the dozens shared by others in the community over the past 5 years. Visit our stories page to see what others have shared.

What about your asthma story? We would love for you to share how asthma has affected your life.
