Hi donna1342 - Have you ruled out an allergic reaction to foods? Another thing that can cause a reaction, such as an asthma attack are food preservatives, food colorings, and additives. Here's an article that I thought you may find helpful: https://asthma.net/living/developing-new-food-allergies

Hi. donna1342. I know you are not alone in experiencing asthma after eating. I have had some friends in the past who experienced this. One of my friend's doctors had them do allergy testing. And then she did an elimination test where you eliminate certain suspected foods (or other suspected culprits) from your diet and gradually reintroduce them one at a time to see if that food initiates asthma symptoms. It can be frustrating because it can take some time to figure out what foods cause reactions, if any. So, that's just one person's experience that I witnessed. Just curious if you have talked to a doctor about this? John. asthma.net site moderator.

I have asthma and gerd. Sometimes I have asthma like symptom after eating. My pulmonologist and GI doctor both say it is gerd causing my symptoms. Your situation could be different but you should ask your doctor if gerd is involved.
