Burning Chest after Dental Cleaning

Hey everyone! I’m a childhood asthmatic, now 29 haven’t had issues for years and years. Well I went to the dentist for a cleaning and 3 hours later had burning sensation center of chest. After two days went to doc and said it was probability acid reflux “I know how that feels”. Next day went to urgent care and they said maybe asthma but lungs sounded good. Got a prednisone sleeve to use. Week later had burning and tightness in one side of lungs. Went to ER, chest x ray and everything was good. No infection. It continued and went to my allergist and did spirometer and got a 74 and said I was having a little asthma. 2.5 weeks later I’m still irritated! I’m use to having a 1-2 days flare up not weeks. Is this normal? Is there something my docs could be missing?

  1. I have began advair and am already on acid control medicines

    1. Hi again, njensen, and thanks for both your comments here. I know you've posted something similar elsewhere on our asthma.net platform, for which my colleague, John Bottrell, and I responded.
For your convenience and, to make sure we connect the conversations, here is a link to that one: https://asthma.net/forums/flare-up-longer-than-2-weeks.
I do hope you have an opportunity to review that material as they both seem to be related.
      Wishing you well,
