Side effects of dry mouth

Four months ago I started on montelukast . Then two months ago changed inhaler from Flovent HFA to Arnuity Ellipta. Since then my mouth is so dry. I am trying to figure out which one is causing this . I stopped the montelukast yesterday . No change as of yet. Has anyone experienced dry mouth with either of theses two medications ? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  1. Hi, Rose. It looks like both of those can cause dry mouth in some people. Talking to your doctor about your side effects is the best solution, since they can offer alternatives or help eliminate your dryness. For your safety, it's best to check in with them anyway before you stop any medications. I hope you can get this solved soon! -Melissa, asthma.net team
