Ideally, you will want to take all of the medicine your doctor prescribes. This is especially true if you are taking asthma controller medicines. If you are taking rescue medicine, I have known some asthmatics (and I'm guilty of this myself) to take a treatment until they get their breath back. Then to quit. However, I would recommend asking this question to your doctor. Together you can decide what is best for you. John. Site Moderator.

Thanks! I was just wondering if only taking partial doses is detrimental. I find that using it for maybe 3-4 minutes helps me all day.

Hi theDaveUSA – everyone responds to medication differently but, as John has suggested, it’s always best to take all the medication which your physician has prescribed, unless otherwise directed by him/her. Please do check back and let us know how you’re doing. All the best, Leon (site moderator)
