How do you manage asthma during peak week?

The third week of September is often referred to as "Asthma Peak Week," due to a rise in asthma-related hospitalizations and an increase in triggers. How do you manage your asthma during this time of year? Share any tips or tricks that have helped you stay safe.

  1. For peak week I make sure to take my controller inhaler two puffs twice a day and make sure to keep my rescue inhaler with me. I also check my peak flow meter once or twice a day to make sure I'm doing okay.

  3. I try to stay in as much as I can. I proactively use my asthma medications, I shower 2x a day, and change my sheets more of I feel the need to. (Been going through this for 45 years)
