Bronchitis or Something Else?
I first got diagnosed with moderate persistent asthma in the winter when I was 21 years of age. I didn't know it was asthma until after a few repeated hospital visits for what I thought was severe bronchitis. I couldn't breathe, was hacking up a lung mostly at night, and kept producing mucus. Come to find out bronchitis wasn't the cause so they put me on prednisone to help my lungs open up and prescribed me an inhaler. Asthma was the culprit.
