Asthma and COPD

I caught COVID last June and was hospitalized for 10 days. Then accompanied my mother to Mexico City and then into the Sierra Madre Mountains to a spa. Between the city pollution and the altitude my respiratory rate sunk to 83. I could not walk a half a block or participate at the spa. Since then, my symptoms have been constant. I was born premature at 2.6 in 1957. Suffered bronchitis throughout childhood. Now at age 67 I feel my world shrinking.

  1. That's such a hard thing. Do you happen to be a part of our COPD.net community? I also work over there and you'd be able to get more specific advice from people who are experiencing longterm respiratory problems. I especially recommend this because you mention your "world is shrinking" ... this is a common topic over there.

Has your doctor been trying out additional treatments since your trip? Has anything helped? We're here to support you. -Melissa, team member
