Cleaning Supplies

Hi,

I work for a public library in the computer department. Periodically, I am responsible for changing a staff member's computer or simply performing maintenance on their computer.

Having severe asthma, cleaning around their stations can be rough. People always think it is someone else's responsibility. Years ago I discovered that Clorox made a product called Green Works that did not affect my breathing like other products, and my manager bought a couple of large refill bottles. Well, that product has been discontinued, of course.

At home, I use Mrs. Meyers, Fresh Basil, as the scent is light enough to not make me cough and it cleans. Before I beg our director to buy me some, since it appears that scent is being discontinued as well, does anyone have any other suggestions for a commercial cleaner that I can use? Typically the desks are not really that dirty, just food residue, drink rings, and the ever present dust armies.

TIA,
Vicky

  1. I can't use anything with a scent. My severe asthma will react immediately. I use Seventh Generation free and clear products including dishwashing liquid. I love the natural products, they clean really well and no scent which is a plus.

    1. I'm so glad that you found cleaning products that don't irritate your asthma. Did it take you a while to find a brand that works well for you? -Lauren (Team member)
