Nebulizer

I have only had my nebulizer a few days. Mucus was and is just coming to my mouth almost hourly. I have spit into many Kleenex boxes. My neighbor uses a nebulizer and has to leave after potlucks to have a treatment. Sounds like she is dying. Coughing up forever. I am still doing the Kleenex thing, have not been able to cough up much, like before machine. I am trying it like the doctor said. I will keep at it, all staff say it will help a lot.

  1. Hi, Scrappy. How have things been going with your nebulizer now that it's been a few weeks? Hope you're seeing some improvement. -Melissa, team member

    1. Hi, I only have to use it when needed now! My Dr. is getting me into a Pulmonary rehab program, I am excited about it. He is actually the director! I am mostly back to my pre flareup days. Still get fatigue, sometimes the elephant stays on my chest, and the boa constrictor likes to visit, but not often. I use a walker for long walks down the hallway and to get to the garage. I get out some. My Dr. said to pay attention to the air quality and weather! Which I have been doing all along this journey. But, the days before, I t was damp cold and rainy, we think that may have triggered the flareup. I was out in it. I just pace myself. Life is good!

      1. What great news! I'm glad to hear that overall you are doing and feeling well! Listen to your body and take breaks if you need to. Wishing you continued success. -Lauren (Team member)

    2. I am having famil over tonight, I have been pacing myself to get ready. Short breathing exercises between, have some time left!! I always kept on for a minute or two before to finish what I started, not anymore. My doctor is putting me in Pulmonary Rehab, still waiting to hear!

      1. I think it's neat that your doctor is the director of the rehab as well. That must bring you comfort. I hope you enjoy rehab ... there is a lot you can learn and the vast majority of people see good results from it! Here's an article about pulmonary rehab from our sister site, COPD.net:
