Food Sticking in My Throat

I have trouble with certain foods sticking in my throat, resulting in coughing spells and irritation to my sinuses. One culprit is grains of cornbread but other foods can cause it as well. This never used to happen but is a common occurrence now.

Is this normal?

  1. Hi. Sorry you're going through this, it sounds uncomfortable! While everyone gets food stuck in their throat sometimes, if it happens often or if there's a sudden change, that's definitely a good reason to see your doctor. There are many potential reasons for this, and some of them have connections to asthma. Here are two articles that might be good starting places for talking with you doctor:

Please keep us posted on what you learn. I hope you can figure out what's going on and start eating more comfortably soon. -Melissa, team member
